On December 18, we were very happy to welcome two new members into our Bethel: Emily and Lily. We were also grateful to Mrs. Betty Lampson for driving up from Ukiah to be our Musician for the evening. Thank you, Mrs. Lampson! Welcome, Emily and Lily!
That evening we also installed our council members, who are mostly the same people as before, but some of them have changed offices. The new council member is Brooke Hansen as our Director of Epochs! Thank you to Brooke for continuing to be active with our Bethel!
That evening we also had our traditional Christmas sock exchange and wore our new socks during the meeting.
We want to say a Big Thank You to everyone who supported our Fall/Holiday Fundraiser and bought our Masonic-themed ornaments and our beaded bracelets! We greatly appreciate all your support! On the evening of December 22, we had a Bethel Holiday Party and invited prospective members to join us to get to know us and to enjoy a drive around Eureka to view Christmas lights, and games and food and fun back at the Lodge.
We had a business meeting on January 1 (yes, New
Year’s Day!).
Installation was on Sunday, January 7 with a theme of “Friends are like snowflakes, all different and all are beautiful” and the colors of shades of blue and white. The Daughters all carried white lanterns as their carrying pieces. Our newest members who had not even seen a whole regalia meeting yet did a great job as our new Custodians. All the girls and all the Installing Officers did a lovely job! Congratulations to all the Daughters and best wishes to you in your new offices:
Honored Queen, Betsy
Guide, Logan
Treasurer, Alice
Librarian, Aubrey
5th Messenger, Carl
Senior Custodian, Emily
Junior Custodian, Lily
Our first meeting of the new term was on January 15 as an instructional regalia meeting. Stay tuned for more plans for the term!
Best wishes!
