Greetings brethren,
February is here and it brought wet weather and chills. As I sit and write this article, I occasionally look out the window to see the rain falling sideways. The wind is blowing that hard. I don’t know about you, but I’m really looking forward to drying out and getting some sun, hopefully soon.
We have started our regular degree practices. We will be meeting every Thursday evening at 6pm. A meal (usually pizza) will be provided. We have a third degree for brother Kevin Miller tentatively scheduled for February 29th. Confirmation of the date and time is forthcoming. Please come out and support our brother as he is raised to the sublime degree of master mason.
The next Humboldt 79 mason in our “Get to Know Your Lodge” series is brother Gabriel Cirrintano. Gabriel is originally from Chicago. He moved to Humboldt County in 2015 and settled in Willow Creek. He
volunteered and taught music. Guitar is his specialty, but he also teaches drums and piano. He spent time working at Dream Quest youth center before moving to Eureka and getting a position in the Eureka city school district as a behavior support assistant. Gabriel is currently studying psychology and is training to become a behavior analyst. In his spare time, he enjoys playing music, reading philosophy, and spending time with his partner Shelly and his 2 years old daughter Briah. When asked what he likes best about masonry he says, it is the esoteric teachings. This led him to join the Scottish rite, so he can learn more about the morals and dogma of our gentle craft. Gabriel is looking forward to meeting all the brethren and getting more involved in our lodge. You can usually find him at our stated meetings and as a sideliner at our degrees.
Respectfully,
Dan Sarver, Master
Humboldt Lodge No. 79
