Camellia Star Chapter No. 63

On to the First Meeting Practices with our new District Grand Deputy, Janessa Bacon where we
focus on floor work and do our first meeting practice. This is particularly valuable for members
in new offices. We have been asked by Grand Chapter to have the Conductress and Associate
Conductress check dues cards at the door. Sometimes people fail to do that, so we will probably
do the first part of proving the chapter for the first few meetings. Be prepared!
Camellia Star will be having its first meeting practice and meeting on December 3 rd with
practice starting at 6pm under the direction of our new District Grand Deputy, Janessa Bacon.
The Deputy focuses and the floor work is our liaison with Grand Chapter. She will be sharing
upcoming events we might enjoy. The theme is Winter Starlight, and can be darkish and sparkly
business dress. Guys a snazzy tie. Refreshments will be cookies and cocoa to warm us up.
Since it is December, members please bring a toy which we will donate to Toys for Tots. Also,
we will be joining Humboldt Lodge #79 for their Christmas Party but I haven’t seen the date, and
in December Humboldt Lodge will have their Installation of officers on December 27.
The little guy up top is Legoman, the Worthy Grand Patron’s Emblem. He is a construction
worker. For more information about Camellia Stae#63, contact WM Laird or
WP Michael. Please join us the first Wednesday of the month for meetings.

November started us off serving breakfast for the Masonic Outreach Services where we learned there are many benefits to being part of the Masonic family – even for the very young! Afterwards we celebrated with a sweet treat at Ultimate yogurt.

At our 2nd meeting we had a chance to visit with a board member of HIKE (Hearing Improvement Kids Endowment) who shared with us how important this philanthropic project is for kids and what a lifelong difference it makes!

We escorted the US flag for Arcata chapter OES installation and the Bethel flag for Camilla chapter OES installation. Our Honored Queen attended Grand Council and was able to escort the Bethel flag for the opening ceremony. It’s nice to be involved with the masonic family events.

Bethel No. 86, JDI

Hello Masonic family,

To start off October, Job’s Daughters held their north state leadership camp in Camp Ayroyo in Livermore.  It was a full weekend of fun and growth!  We played games, made some great friendships, and learned many important skills that we brought home.
A week later Bethel No. 86 hosted a table at Zane Middle School.  We had a ton of pipe cleaners to teach the visitors how to make little pumpkins and talked about Job’s Daughters.

Starting off November, Bethel 86 will be serving breakfast on the first for the Masonic Outreach Services informational gathering at 8.  At noon on the same day, we invite friends to Ultimate Yogurt fro-yo social!  If you have a daughter, niece or even a neighbor who likes frozen treats she is welcome!  Email Bethel86@cajdi.org for more details.  Our open business meeting is on Nov. 3rd at 7.  If you come at 6:20, you can also get a tour of the lodge building!  Later in the month is Grand Council.  We also are planning to escort the flag for some upcoming OES installations.

Our current fundraiser is selling Masonic family coasters.  See the flier for more details.  Save the date in December for our Lasagna dinner sales.  December 20th we will be making lasagnas fresh to go, or you can buy dinner tickets and enjoy a lasagna dinner.  More information on the lasagna flier or email Bethel86@cajdi.org.  Tickets and sales will begin Nov 3rd.

There are two more important dates to save in your calendar coming in December.  We encourage everyone to bring gloves and help save the trees from the deadly ivy at the ivy pull at Sequoia Park on Glatt & T streets on Dec. 13th in the morning.  Come join us for a morning of service to our local park and beloved trees.  Let’s show everyone what the Masonic family can do!!  The following day is the installation of Bethel officers at 2 PM on Dec. 14th.  Look for more details in the December issue.

If you have questions or need more information, please email us at Bethel86@cajdi.org.  Our open business meetings are the first Monday and our regalia meetings are the third Monday of each month.  We start at 7PM both evenings.  We meet in Eureka at the Humboldt Masonic Center 517 G st.  We look forward to seeing you here and around and appreciate all your ongoing support!!

Jobie Love,
Logan P.

Humboldt Lodge No. 79

As we approach the end of another month in our Masonic journey, I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to the officers and members of Humboldt Lodge No. 79. Your steadfast dedication, faithful attendance, and brotherly support continue to strengthen the pillars of our beloved Lodge.

I am profoundly honored to have represented Humboldt Lodge No. 79 at the Annual Communication of Grand Lodge. This responsibility speaks to one of our most fundamental principles—the Twelfth Landmark of Masonry: the right of every Mason to be represented in all general meetings of the Craft and to instruct his representatives. While our ancient Brethren once gathered individually at General Assemblies, the Craft evolved in 1717 to representation through Masters and Wardens for practical convenience. Yet the Landmark’s integrity remains uncompromised—the sacred principle of representation endures. As your representative, I carried forward not merely my own voice, but the collective wisdom, concerns, and aspirations of every Brother in our Lodge. We now await with bated breath the results of these important deliberations that will shape the future of our Craft in California.

Fraternally,

Davin Bowerman, Worshipful Master, Humboldt No. 79
